Nurse
Jamie(Chi Xin Ping) was born in Shandong province in an area famous for kite-making. As a child, she always wanted to be a nurse, and her dream came true when she graduated with a nursing degree from Nanyang Technology College. Jamie says that her parents taught her to be honest, sincere, warm-hearted, and patient, and they taught her that to have a good life, one doesn’t have to be rich or in a high social position, but instead, one’s life should be meaningful. This belief is what drew Jamie to New Day Foster Home. She wanted to make a difference in children’s lives, and she immediately noticed that New Day isn’t just a foster home, but is a big family where the children enjoy life. She saw that all of the children were doing quite well emotionally, able to express their feelings whether they were happy or sad. She also saw how much the staff respects one another. She wanted to use her nursing skills to help our children continue to grow healthy and happy, and she hopes that she is able to help the foster home expand so that more children can come to this place that changes lives.
