How You Help

What is more basic to human survival than good nutrition? Many of the children who reside in poor orphanages in less-developed parts of China lack just that. In certain parts of China, nutritious formula isn't even available for purchase! We have found that due to a lack of resources, some orphanages feed their babies under one year old cow's milk, rice powder, or in some cases, simply water. None of these options provide enough nutrition for an infant, so it often results in severe malnutrition and in some cases, death.

Our Formula Project ensures each child under one in our partner orphanages has the healthy start they need. As a monthly sponsor in the project, each month you provide one child with the eight bags of infant formula she needs to eat well.

How It Works

After completing the registration process through our website, you will begin to receive a monthly e-mail report. The report will include pictures, enrollment information, and progress reports for children participating in the Formula Project.

A Gift That Gives

Mom doesn’t really need a new sweater, and your dad probably has all the golf clubs he wants. So why not give a gift that gives back? Whether it’s for a holiday, birthday, or in memory of someone, choosing to sponsor a child’s formula in someone’s honor is A Gift that Gives joy and hope all year long.

The honoree will receive a letter acknowledging the donation you gave in his or her name and explaining our work and how the gift will be used. Then, they will receive monthly e-mail updates on the formula project.

To give A Gift that Gives, complete the normal registration process under your name. On the final registration page, please complete the Gift that Gives registration form in addition to making payment arrangements so that we know the nature of your sponsorship. The Fine Print

Due to confidentiality agreements with the orphanages, we are unable to provide sponsors with monthly updates on the progress of a specific child. Instead we provide sponsors with a general overview each month.

Each sponsorship is $25.00 per month. Donations can be made on a monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, or annual basis. You can donate by check, bank transfer, or on-line through PayPal. Donations are tax-deductible in the USA.
