The New Day Foster Care Vision

A facility, no matter how nice it is, can ever replace a family. With this in mind we have begun a foster network. The foster family will take an orphaned and disabled child into their home to become part of their family until they are adopted.

This allows the child to enjoy family life with ordinary families from the community who are willing to raise them as their own. This is important in a child's development of healthy child-adult family relationships, and to see themselves as part of the wider community.

I left the state run printing factory in Beijing where I worked for 16 years and came to work for New Day Creations as a manager of the craft factory in July 2002. For many years my jobs have consumed most of my time so that I was unable to do something for orphans. I'm glad that I now have this opportunity to join New Day Foster Home, a big family, and become a part of it. I love kids very much and have always wanted to do something for them. It is love that brings everyone here to serve the orphans. I like the atmosphere here and like my new job very much. I'll try to use my gifts and skills to serve and help the orphans and at the same time I hope that through my service for the foster project, the foster families can receive more help and blessings.

 

 

Foster Care Goals

  • Develop a foster home network. Children always do much better when they are with a family. No matter how modern, clean and well run our facility is, it is not a match for an individual family.
  • Care for the children till adoptive families can be found.
  • Provide training for foster families in:
    a. Child training
    b. Early childhood development
    c. Marriage classes
    d. Financial classes
    e. Health & hygiene classes
