Opening Ceremony
It rained so hard at the opening ceremony of the new Tacheng orphan facility that the celebration had to move in-doors. Complete with mayors, government officials, and civil affairs representatives from all over Xinjiang the ribbon cutting event was a great success. This was just one more step forward in our joint effort with the good people of Tacheng to bless a lot of kids. As one government official said about all the rain - whenever it pours on an event such as this we take it as an indication of the blessing of God on our efforts.

Ten New Ones
We have ten new children - Bella, Adah, Felicity, Lucas, Holly, Jason, and Luke, with three more, Aaron, Wendel and Jesse, coming in this weekend. We¡¯re so happy to welcome for the first time two precious jewels from Jiangxi province.

They¡¯re Flying Out of Here
Kids are being adopted so fast that it seems our children are just flying out of here. One we would like to make a special mention of is Brett who, you may remember, almost died on several occasions. He now finds himself healthy and happy with a mom and dad and five big sisters. Also Allie, who just couldn't wait to leave with her mom and dad, Kimbria, Thomas, and Colton are all happily adjusting to their new families.

To date we have had the pleasure of seeing 58 children adopted. This year so far 17 have been adopted with 8 more matched and will be joining their families soon.

Surgeries
Rachel¡¯s three hour palate surgery was successful and it went so well she was able to be released from the hospital the day after her surgery. Lucas and Adah are in the hospital waiting for heart surgery sometime later this week.

Formula Projects
Following the success of the Hohhot formula project we have started a similar one in Taiyuan. Monthly we provide formula as well as training on a variety of subjects. If you are an ¡°expert¡± on early childhood development, basic medical, physical therapy and are willing to share your knowledge and experience let us know.
Training topics

The Plains
At the invitation of the Hohhot director we visited the famous grasslands of Inner Mongolia. We had a great time riding horses, sleeping in a yurt and building relationships.

New Property
We¡¯ve cleared off the new property and are now working/waiting with architects, builders and zoning officials to see how much of a building we can put on the site. We¡¯ll keep you updated of the progress.

We remain grateful for strength and the opportunities we have been given to make a difference.
