One of our children's sponsors decided to sponsor an Autumn Moon Festival party for the preschool. So Friday morning was extra-special. All the kids went into the village to buy things for the party... it was a fun morning filled with lots of special memories-in-the-making!

Going into the village.
Our cart of kids - so cute!
Leah and Emily enjoy the ride.
First stop, picking out hairbows for the girls! A girl can never have too many accessories. The boys all got to buy a small toy, since hairbows aren't their thing.
Emily checks out the other merchandise.
Leah really wanted some fingernail polish, but we knew that would turn into a mess very quickly.
Brett thought looking at hair accessories was a bit boring, so he livened things up by trying on a headband.
Luke inspects all the interesting products.
Jeremy was curious about everything.
Then we all walked across the street to the grocery store.
Brett caught a ride in the cart, and Luke insisted on carrying his own basket. But, he got a little help...
Jeremy thinks this place must be paradise... so many different snacks, all within arm's reach!!
The mooncakes! Just what we were looking for! Everyone got to put some mooncakes in the basket.
Brett rode around in style, but he filled his basket with mooncakes too!
Ben quickly moved on to other treats. Cookies and crackers sounded good to him!
Exploring the store was a lot of fun. We found all sorts of interesting items!
But then, we all gathered at the front of the store, where our teacher sorted through all the things we selected. She decided what we needed and what was just extra. Then we all helped her put up the things that we didn't really need...
... like bagged milk.
... and some of the cookies.
Then it was time to check out. Look how patiently we waited@
Jeremy got to help
pay the bill.
And then it was time to leave!
Since we were such good kids, we each got a turn on the little rides in front of the store.
Luke turned the wheel in circles. That makes us worry a bit about his future driving skills!
Abigail waited patiently.
Jeremy and Emily wanted to go again.
Brett got on and didn't think it was much fun, so he gave up his turn to Jeremy and Luke.
And they thought they were just the cutest things, riding together like that! (We agreed.)
Abigail got the hang of driving very quickly when it was her turn.
We met one of our nannies in town, and she invited us to come to her house for a visit. We'd never been to her house before, so we were so excited to see where she lived.
We were such polite little children! We sat on her couches and visited. Visiting her house was such a treat!
When it was time to go back to the foster home, we all gathered on her front steps for a picture. Aren't we just the cutest kids around?
Back at the foster home, it was time for a party!
We each got to open a wrapped present, and then we had mooncakes!
Abigail and Cheryl passed out the presents.
And even though we had helped pick them out earlier in the day, it was still fun to see what was inside!
Ben enjoyed his toy, and he wanted to help the girls open their packages.
Leah, is that another big, fuzzy hairbow? Do you think you can fit another one in your hair?
Time to cut the mooncakes!
It doesn't look like Olivia thought they were very good.
But, since it is a little sweet, who can pass up the chance to eat it?

Abigail wasted no time in asking someont to

It was a satisfying day! Happy Autumn Moon Festival!
