We studied the letter N in preschool today, and so we learned the word "Noodles!" Noodles are a very important staple in the Chinese diet, so the kids already loved the food. But today they learned just how fun of a word it is to say!

Everyone watches as
we stir the noodles. |
Leah helps pick some out of the water with the strainer. |
Olivia pulls up a
pile of noodles. |
Cheryl holds the strainer. |
Julia's turn to
take some out of the pot. |
Luke tries to find a few more. |
Emily and Leah were quite impressed that the noodles went in hard a crunchy and came out soft and chewy! |
Everyone gets ready
to eat their noodles. |
That's a lot of noodles, Emily. Do you think you can eat them all? |
| Julia knows her way around a plate of noodles and a pair of chopsticks! It didn't take her long to polish them all off. |
| Olivia, isn't this fun? We get more than a snack today. We get two lunches!! And we cooked it ourselves! |
Leah tries out a new method of using chopsticks with noodles. The twisty-twirly method. And then the finger method. Both work fine. |
Cheryl wastes no time in polishing off her noodles. That's a big bite, isn't it? |
Luke is getting pretty good at using his chopsticks.
Do you think he can eat the whole bowl? |
Camille doesn't seem as interested as the other kids. |

Aaron has such a big smile! |
