Brian Proulx
Brian is from Raleigh, North Carolina in the United States. He completed his freshman year of college at UNC Wilmington in the spring. He came to New Day in July 2009 to work as a volunteer in New Day Learning Center's summer camp for the month. He then worked in the preschool of the foster home for two weeks. He had such a great experience that he decided to prolong his stay in China in order to persue his goal of learning Mandarin. He enjoys learning more about the rich culture of China. He hopes to attend the Beijing Language and Culture University in the spring where he will study Mandarin Chinese. He says, "I immediately fell in love with the Chinese language and culture and I have never met friendlier, more generous people than the people of Beijing."
