New Day Volunteer Services

Every day this week I had the honor to hold and play with some of the best children I have ever seen or known. Yet, this wouldn’t be possible if New Day or its staff weren’t here to provide for the little lives we now as a group have come to care so much about. This is why I am so incredibly thankful for the staff and founders of New Day. Everything they do is ultimately a blessing and a symbol for hope for me.

Management

Byron Brenneman (Bai Bo Rong)
Overseer
Byron and his wife Karen moved to China from New York City in 1995 and have served on the leadership Board at New Day since 1996. They have three daughters who are all living in the States. Byron enjoys a strong cup of coffee, chatting with people, riding bikes, doing business and giving lectures.

Duan Yong Hong (Sally)
Volunteer Services Administrator
Sally was born February 8, 1979, and earned a bachelor's degree in Fashion Design. She grew up in Wei Hai in Shan Dong Province. She loves listening to music, watching movies, drawing, hiking and traveling. After graduating from the New Day Learning Center, she came to work for New Day in January 2008. Sally handles all of the paperwork and other details with obtaining visas for our Chinese staff.

Staff

	Hou Jun Hai Facilities Manager and Driver Hou Jun Hai was born in January 1970. He lives in Qing Yundian and has a happy family with his wife and son. He loves traveling. He came to work at New Day in 1999.
	Gao Chun Hong (Anna) Store Manager Gao Chun Hong was born in Qing Yundian in 1974. She has a happy family with her husband who is a taxi driver and her son who is in primary school. She likes to travel and play badminton. She began working in the factory at New Day Creations in 2001 and now manages New Day's store. She loves meeting all the foreign guests who come to New Day.
	Chen Bao Zhong Electrician Chen Bao Zhong was born July 5, 1964. He has a wife and son and lives in Qing Yundian. He loves sports and playing chess. He has a small farm where he raises chickens and ducks. He has worked for New Day since November 2003.
	Wang Chun Mei Accountant Wang Chun Mei was born December 22, 1971 and earned a college degree. She loves her mother, husband and daughter. Her mother lives with them in Huang Chun. She feels happy when sees smiles on her mother and daughter’s faces. She loves going on vacation with her family. She came to work at New Day in 2002.
	Yang Li Accountant Yang Li was born October 23, 1979 and earned a high school diploma. Now she lives in Qing Yundian and has a happy family with her parents, brother, husband and newborn son. She loves listening to music, watching movies, traveling and knitting. She came to work at New Day in 2005.
	Gao Rui Hai Gate Guard Gao Rui Hai was born December 1965. He lives in Qingyundian with his mother and son. He loves reading books and playing pool. He has been on staff at New Day since 1998.
	Zhang Yong Gui Gate Guard Zhang Yong Gui was born April 6, 1948. He has a big happy family! He has a wife, two sons, two daughters-in-law and four grandsons. He loves playing the drum for Yangko, a type of traditional Chinese folk dancing. He came to work for New Day in December 2007.
	Yang Yu Lai Gate Guard Yang Yu Lai was born June 1946. He lives in Qingundian with his wife and loves exercising, especially jogging. He has worked at New Day since 2003.
	Huang Bing Zhong Gate Guard Huang Bing Zhong was born in June 1960. He lives in Qingyundian with his wife, two daughters and mother. He loves sports, especially ping pong, basketball and chess. He has worked at New Day since 2000.
	Hou Wen Lian House Keeper Hou Wen Lian was born in 1958. Now she lives with her husband and son in Qingyundian. She loves singing and dancing. She came to work at New Day in 2000.
	Liu Chung Ying House Keeper Liu Chung Ying was born in April 1964. Now she lives in Qingyundian with her husband and two daughters. She loves singing, dancing and watching TV. She has worked for New Day since March 2003.
	Dou Xue Fen House Keeper Dou Xue Fen lives in Qing Yundian with her husband and son. Her son is a high school student. She loves doing housework, singing, sewing, exercising and keeping pets. She came to work at New Day in 2006.
	Chang Bao Hong House Keeper Chang Bao Hong was born in 1961 and lives in Qingyundian with her husband and two daughters. She loves singing, dancing and doing housework. She has been with New Day since September 2006.
	Gu Cui Ling House Keeper Gu Cui Ling was born in Qing Yundian and is 47 years old. Her husband is a technician. They have an adult daughter and son, both who are working now. She enjoys doing housework and watching television.
